Tim Proome is a supply chain dynamo that joined Tarsus Distribution in 2016. Since his appointment, he has implemented a world-class warehouse management system, instigated robotic process automation, created and onboarded a third-party logistics solution, and much more.
Tim has years of experience and a deep knowledge of supply chains, having begun his career as a warehouse general worker at Wetherlys in 1994. He was promoted to warehouse manager at Wetherlys, and then worked as the operations manager at TNS in London for six years. During his time in the furniture industry, he managed the factory where a large portion of the world’s casino tables were manufactured. After returning from London, he worked as the supply chain executive for Coricraft for XYZ years before taking over the logistics reins at Tarsus.
During his time at Tarsus, he has learned a lot about digitising the supply chain. In particular, robotic process automation has revealed the possibilities for greater efficiency and productivity in logistics.
Tim’s favourite book is How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie, which emphasises the importance of human interaction and connection despite technological advancements. When Tim isn’t working or reading, he partakes in trail runs. A little-known fact, which adds to his coat of many colours, is that he is a trained opera singer.
